Our company was founded in 2003 and since then has served over 160 customers throughout Shropshire and the West Midlands. At Driver Line, we cater for all category licence holders, whether seeking regular or part time driving opportunities, who are selected on the basis of their professionalism and enthusiasm; enabling us to deliver industry beating levels of dependability and reliability. For pay, we operate as a preference PAYE payroll in-house though we also accept sub-contract directly workers employed via a third party Limited companies (not via umbrella companies).

At Driver Line, we cater for all individuals holding a full drivers licence recognised under UK law aged between 21 and 70 years that are seeking either full time or casual work. Our friendly and very supportive company ethos that is breaking the mould of traditional agencies with regard to care of staff is also linked to the reliability level afforded to our customers. Driver Line has made available fixed term pay guarantee contract positions for HGV qualified and experienced drivers since 2005.

At Driver Line we take care in the selection of new recruits and seek individuals with a good work ethic and who have professional pride in their work. Applicant must not have more than 6 points current on their licence and have no endorsements listed under offence codes DD, CD, AC, BA or IN within the last 5 years or DR within the last 10 years. Driver Line will check and monitor online your licence endorsements and category entitlement. Employees do need to make us aware of any pending penalties or prosecutions relating to driving or criminal offences.

If you are regularly exceeding 48 hours per working week you need to maintain a record of hours worked, on duty and those recorded as POA and submit the Working Time Form to the office for document retention. Always ask of the customer, at the start of an assignment, to make you aware of any hazards they have identified in their workplace and working environment that you, similar to their own employees, should be made aware of. When you attend a work assignment you must ensure that you are wearing PPE; at minimum safety shoes or boots and a high visibility jacket.

We have designed the application process to be fast as well as easy and straightforward as possible. Latest PAYE pay revisions become effective from 6th April 2020. PAYE offers benefits not available to self employed or sub contracted worker as our employees receive paid holidays and where eligible pensions contributions and sickness pay. Typical earnings guides are precisely that and should not be taken as an individual's guaranteed earnings. Rates of pay are paid by the licence category held irrespective of the vehicle driven.
