Alistair's business background was initially in farming where he helped to develop, organise and run a large farming enterprise in the Scottish Borders. He became interested in supply teaching recruitment through working with his sister who ran a successful agency in Newcastle and consequently Premier Education was founded in 2001.

Over the last 20 years we have worked with thousands of Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Support Assistants and Nursery Nurses and have helped them to find permanent, long term and day to day supply positions in Schools, Nurseries and SEN Provisions across the North West and West Yorkshire.

We are also open during school holiday periods between 9.00am and 3.00pm. You can also reach us week day evenings and throughout the weekend on our out of hours service. For details please see below. Supply cover is essentially driven by staff absence due mainly to sickness, training, maternity leave and occasional unfilled vacancies.
