Oliver James Associates

This has got to be one of the worst recruitment agency out there. Particular mention towards Nathan Burke who has not bothered to respond to any of my emails nor messages. They demand upfront references and c.v all to fish and steal contacts from ones c.v. This agency is a rubbish trying to act as if they are a professional compliance consultancy.

The only decent agent in this place is Helen Bilsbourough (however she has moved over to the US branch)she is excellent and is smart. I am so extremely disappointed with Oliver James. What happened to this consultancy? It used to hold weight and was amazing. Need serious restructure and hire agents who know about compliance and risk.

Referred couple of by friends and none of them got a response. Not genuine, just fishing

Anna of OJ placed me for a job in 2015. She was attentive, responsive and responsible. They checked up on me a few times since then but not too pushy. I'll consider reaching out to OJ again when the time is ripe to move on.

Wow! Had I read the reviews before agreeing to work with this agency I wouldn't have bothered. Unprofessional runs through their veins. Worked for a client via this agency. I fell ill after 3 days. Informed recruitment consultant throughout my entire illness. Sadly contract was terminated. Agent Olly Harrhy worked with me to ensure my laptop/equipment was returned (which I would have done regardless).

Shortly after my equipment was received I received an email from Olly to say that I would not be getting paid. It has taken 3 weeks to finally get hold of someone only to be told it is not their problem. So I pretty much worked for free and the fact that I fell ill meant nothing. After reading these reviews it all makes sense. Disappointing. These people seriously could not care less about clients.

Appallingly arrogant and incompetent. After a first call where they display connections in an attempt to showcase their potential, they turn silent with the excuse that they are busy with clients. Poor clients who pay this agency to do nothing but mock candidates. Dear OJC clients, I do hope you will soon realise that this agency is nothing but a waste of money and good candidates. Dear fellow candidates, expect to be mocked by them in an email where you are cc'ed. If I could give it 0 stars I would gladly do it.

Critical: Professionalism Belittling, arrogant and condescending - the perfect attitude to take with a vulnerable person when they're not suitable for a role. Shameful and disgusting.

Appalling service by this agency with a special mention to the most rude and useless leeching consultant out there, Robert Hiza. Let's hope this guy is fired soon enough.

If I could give 0 stars I would do that. Joshua Phillips insisted on two references up front, very pushy. Apparently standard procedure blatantly fishing for contacts. They exemplify why recruiters have such a bad reputation.

The consultants at Oliver James have rang/e-mailed me over the last 6 months with roles but go quiet when nothing comes through with any follow up. Also they sent me forward for an interview in October 2019 but didn't have the decency to give me any interview feedback. When I spoke to their consultants, they simply said its not my client and another of their colleagues is dealing with it.

Total waste of time Made two appointments for a call and two times they failed to call Unreliable. would not recommend
