Our story
Report
The Purple House story began in 2002 when Tom and Lindsey founded the first specialist HR consultancy in the South West. In a world where KPI's were all important and no-one cared about the candidate journey, they wanted to provide a bespoke recruitment service which truly engaged and retained great HR talent for their clients.
Manifesto
Report
The right end result starts with a detailed and honest recruitment brief. Starting here means we'll truly understand your business, culture and role. We need to define what 'good' looks like in your business; what are your objectives and challenges? What behaviours and styles does someone need to be a success in your organisation?
Meet Tom
Report
I became an HR specialist having started as a forensic accountant in London, recruitment found me 2 years later and I was fortunate enough to join a progressive and respected company where I received excellent training in listening skills, assessing and truly matching candidates with clients and vice versa.

T H A N K Y O U to Tom, Fiona and the team at Purple House Recruitment for finding me my dream job! If I could rate 100 starts out of 5 I would. For anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy and empowering recruiter in the South West, look no further. You will honetly not be disapointed with the service from Purple House, these guys are top notch and will not only go the extra mile but they will go 500 extra miles to find you the perfect position!
If I had to describe what a job agency should be, I would honestly describe Purple House. If I had to describe what a job agency actually is then I would describe 99% of all other agencies out there! How we are living in a world where they think it is acceptable to send an email saying "You like this job." and then take a commission once you get it I really don't know. Fromt the moment I first talked to Fiona on the phone it felt like talking to a friend or family member.
Someone who was really invested in me and wasn't looking for BS sales talk about how wonderful I thought I was, but who was really seeking to get to know me and to read between the lines and extract what I REALLY had to offer! And boy did she, our first meeting we were talking for 3 hours and I thought I came across terribly to be honest as I was so out of practice at that time and also feeling really low and unconfident from being made redundant.
But Fiona coached and mentored me to see what I really did have to offer and how to get this across to the employers. ALL FOR FREE! From then on it has just felt like the guys at PH have been pushing and pushing and checking every avenue for me to find me the perfect opportunity. I don't know what your rates are at PH but I hope they are really high as companies should be begging to use you guys over other agents in my opinion.
It's really simple isn't it: Place the right candidate in the right role = happy candidate, happy hiring company = greater retention, better culture and better business performance = long term, trusted relationships between job seekers and companies with PH = guaranteed repeat business and a strong and resilient reputation. Yet the norm now seems to just be: Place any candidate in any role = take the commission and run = Churn and Burn!
The amount of effort and energy these guys put into finding me this perfect position is staggering and to keep so positive, friendly, caring and to remember so many details about me and my career, likes, wants etc is just the way that I try to operate with my clients at work but sadly this kind of service is rarely returned these days. However, with PH it is there in abundance.
