Apex works with young people to address their issues and help them to progress towards the bright future that they deserve. Apex provides a number of training opportunities which can be made available across Scotland. Apex works to support young people, who may be experiencing difficulty in and outwith the mainstream school setting, to achieve their potential.We are the specialist organisation which for over 30 years has contributed to a safer Scotland by working with people with criminal convictions or at risk of committing offences to give them the necessary skills to change their behaviour and lead fulfilling lives.

Our working practice of Aim Higher, Behave Differently, Change Your Future, reflects Apex's ethos of ensuring each person we work with takes their own journey, remembering that everyone is different with their own thoughts, desires and challenges.

In 1986 the Social Work Services Group of The Scottish Office provided funding to enable Apex Charitable Trust to conduct a feasibility study into the need for a specialist agency in Scotland to address the employment and training needs of ex-offenders and, if sufficient need was identified, to propose a range of services to be provided by a specialist agency.

Since 1987, Apex Scotland has continued to develop a variety of high quality services across Scotland ranging from national programmes to more localised expertise. We work in partnership across the country with a range of funders, statutory bodies and third sector organisations to ensure that each individual who works with our staff receives a service that is personal and valuable, ultimately progressing them towards a positive future. All the Apex staff I have dealt with have been very helpful, and with all the work we have done.
